Admission Requirements

The APPL program has been designed with working professionals in mind.  Our goal is to facilitate the learning process, making it as efficient as possible, including admission to the program.  For this reason, admission to the program is based on the following:

  • Though not required, it is generally advisable to have approximately 40-60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) of transferable college credit from accredited colleges and universities (students without some college background will require more time to graduate).
  • You should be at least 25 years old (exceptions are determined according to personal circumstance and years of professional experience).
  • You will generally need a grade point average of 2.3 for recent course work presented for transfer. Exceptions are made on a case by case basis.
  • A completed application packet.

Mapping your Degree

Believing that a clear academic ‘road map' is essential, the APPL Program offers a preliminary transcript evaluation as a service to you at no charge.  An assessment counselor will review your academic records to help you plan how to get to your degree as expediently as possible.

If a prospective student does not meet all requirements, the application may be considered individually by the APPL Admissions Review Committee which may grant exceptions.
