Summer Orientation Days at Bethany University!
Bethany University Summer Orientation Days in June and July successfully served over 200 new student and family members! Incoming students and families gathered for a time of welcome, prayer and panel discussion in the chapel, followed by passport tours to key campus locations.
Students engaged in a success seminar and College Student Inventory assessment, while parents met for a seminar on the issues involved for families and students in transitioning to college. Over lunch, students met with academic advisors and then completed course and financial registration, so that they would be set to begin classes in the fall. Those who attended had the opportunity to win bookstore certificates and books for fall classes, as well as certificates for families to dine at local restaurants before driving home.
The special Orientation Days provided opportunities for students and family members to become better acquainted with the Bethany community and develop positive
connections with staff, faculty, and student leaders. Bethany’s mission to prepare leaders for church and society, and the institutional student outcomes of character development, leadership, professionalism, cultural awareness, and
ministry were emphasized throughout the day. Feedback from attendees affirmed the positive experiences and appreciation for this caring campus community.
