MAT Services Coordinator
Position Description
The MAT Services Coordinator is responsible for maintaining student records, admissions counseling, and serving as the Credential Analyst for the Master of Arts in Teaching graduate program.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain office procedures and records to support and facilitate the processes involved in admission to the MAT program.
- Manage the database of prospective students and contacts.
- Maintain contact with prospective students with written and oral forms through the internet, correspondence and phone calls.
- Ability to learn interpreting, analyzing, and applying CCTC regulations, procedures, and academic requirements in support of recommending teaching credential candidates for a California teaching credential.
- Attention to detail, organization and evaluative skills to coordinate and verify complex university and state program requirements.
- Knowledge of (or the ability to learn) administrative and business policies and procedures affecting program, activities.
- Initiative and ability to work independently but also cooperatively and effectively as part of a team.
- Skills to organize and prioritize a multitude of tasks to effectively meet deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Maintain the students' academic records.
- Work closely with the Web designer to ensure accuracy of program information.
- Knowledge of Registrar's Office and Graduate Studies regulations, procedures policies, and academic requirements.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
Qualifications
- Five years experience in administrative work and office management.
- Demonstrable skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and data base management.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including telephone skills.
- College degree preferred.

Salary / Compensation
This is a part-time position working Tuesday through Saturday. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
